How To Open A Jeep Key Fob
Before opening your Jeep's key fob, ensure that you have a flathead screwdriver and a CR2032 battery. To open the key fob, locate the seam around the keyring mount and gently pry the key fob using the screwdriver. By doing so, your key fob should split into two sections, but don't twist the screwdriver since that can cause damage to the key fob casing.
How To Change The Battery in A Jeep Key Fob
With the key fob open, you can access the circuit board that holds the battery. You will want to remove the battery without touching the circuit board or its contact points. Once the battery is removed, replace the battery with the new one, ensuring to face the negative side downwards. Carefully put the circuit board back into the key fob shell and snap the two pieces of the key fob back together.
